For the Sharjah Indian community and family-oriented weddings

Muslim wedding invitations in Sharjah

An invitation that respects the more traditional register Sharjah weddings tend to carry.

Sharjah weddings within the Indian community lean more traditional than Dubai or Abu Dhabi — family-oriented, less hotel-banquet, often involving extended family across multiple Emirates. The Mappila and Hyderabadi Muslim communities are well-established here. Zawaaj's Muslim preset (Bismillah opening, Hijri date, optional nasheed) sits naturally with the register, and the Mehndi Green template is the most-picked for traditional Sharjah weddings.

Cultural fit

Muslim preset is the most-used; Christian, Hindu, and Sikh presets all work for the smaller communities. The optional segregated-seating note on individual events lets hosts surface ladies-only or gents-only details when the venue requires it.

Questions

What people ask

Does the Muslim preset support segregated seating notes?
Yes. Each event carries a culturalAttributes.segregatedSeating toggle. When the host turns it on, the public invitation surfaces a quiet 'Ladies and gents seated separately' line on that event. Hosts can turn it on for some events and off for others.
Can the invitation play a nasheed when guests open it?
Yes (Muslim preset only). The host picks a nasheed from the curated library or uploads their own. The floating audio control sits in the lower corner of the live invitation and is opt-in for guests — it never auto-plays.
